Greyback were founded at the end of 2018 by Thomas Köchle, Edi Ruetz, Florian Scheiber and Lino Hochrainer. In 2020, Peter Schmid joined on second guitar and in 2021 Michael Weißkopf replaced Florian Scheiber, who had left the band. The band's music is a mix of different styles and is in constant change. From an initially classically inspired heavy metal sound with death and black metal influences, the band developed an independent style on a melody orientated groove/death metal basis, combined with the best of all metal styles. Dynamic drumming, catchy riffs, driving bass lines and varied vocals form an extremely exciting overall package.
